My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 - KJV.
Paul wrote this assurance to the believers in Philippi. How could he be so certain God was going to do this for them? Firstly, it was because they were his gospel partners - they had sown into his ministry and so a harvest was due them. Secondly, it was because they'd made Jesus the Lord of their lives. Now, the Lord as their shepherd was going to manifest His care for them and see that they did not want for anything! Thirdly, it was because in Jesus they had a covenant with Almighty God - a covenant under which God had promised to provide, protect and prosper them.
There you have three solid reasons why Paul could give this assurance. Would these be three reasons a minister today could make this assurance to you? I believe you should answer, "Yes". You have given. You have accepted Jesus as your Lord. You are in the New Covenant.
