For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11 - NKJV.
This scripture has so often given me great encouragement. The encouragement to petition God for things I wouldn't otherwise have had the confidence to ask for. After all, I know I get grace from Him and, at times, by His Spirit I also know His glory in my life. If you've been walking with Him lately you'll have been receiving His grace and His glory too.
The devil and the world around us would have us believe bare essentials is all we're to have. "You'll survive," they say, "but you won't prosper. God won't give much to you!" We need to be constantly shouting back, "Wrong! Look at the grace and glory I'm getting. These good things are only the start. There's lots more where these come from and God's not going to withhold any good thing from me!"
