Faith Has A Fight
Fight the good fight of faith.
1 Timothy 6:12 - NKJV
By faith we are to live and by faith we receive. Yet I can't remember any time when I've received anything by faith in the absence of first my faith being challenged. I've found I've had to fight a good fight for my faith because the devil has come against it. I've had to resist his assault and fortify my faith by hearing more of God's Word - the Word of God that gave me that faith in the first place! Heb.10:37-38, Mar.11:24, Ro.10:17.
Faith is your title deed to what you've hoped for in God. Faith gives you evidence you are right in considering it to be yours because of Christ. No wonder the devil fights it. Is there a battle on over your faith? Rejoice! It means your faith is real enough for the devil to be bothered about it. He sees you are moving by faith towards receiving. He's trying to prevent you obtaining what your faith declares is yours. He's trying to make your faith look feigned (a mere sham) so you'll drop your claim on what God has prepared for you. Keep hold of your faith and God's Word upon which that faith rests. Heb.11:1.
How do you respond the pressure Satan puts on your faith? Fight a good fight in the face of that squeeze on you! Where he makes an assault on your faith. build up that faith. Resort to the promises of restoration, deliverance and victory that God has given you upon which your faith rests! Refresh your remembrance and your hold on those promises! Consider Abraham. He was strong in faith as he gave praise to God. He was "fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform"! Ro.4:20-21.
Your faith is your victory! 1 John 5:4.
