The Daily Guide
Your security is in God!
The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 - NKJV
Maybe you're going through a trial right now. Perhaps you feel you're in the valley of the shadow of death. Remember His faithfulness. Remember what - in His faithfulness - He's promised to do! He's promised to forgive you at your confession of sin. He's promised a way of escape from the trial you're in. He's promised to keep you. He's promised to preserve you sound and complete. 1Joh.1:9; 1Cor.10:13; 1Thes.5:24.
I was meditating on a portion of Isaiah when I came across this phrase of scripture, "The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow." I started rejoicing at that because the passage was ministering to me comfort, exhortation and the knowledge of God. The word "hallow" is strange to modern English. As a result I opened my Amplified Bible to get a better grasp of it. The significance of "hallow" was put this way, "Regard Him as holy and honor His holy name - by regarding Him as your only hope of safety." That's the way to hallow Him. Keep that in mind as you pray the traditional version of Lord's prayer. Isa.8:13,11-18, Mat.6:9.
The Lord is faithful. I can't think of a more precious revelation to possess than this! What a deep sense of safety the knowledge of this gives! Our God is the faithful God. Many of the psalms David wrote were sung by him to the faithful God. Psalm 23, for example, is his expression of his knowledge of God's faithfulness. This is why he sings, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" and then "I will fear no evil; for You are with me." Deut.7:9.
Declare your God is faithful!
