Moses said, "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him."

Deuteronomy 30:19 - NKJV

Choices. We have to make them constantly. The choices we are making are determining the life-direction we are going in. For this reason, as Christians, it is a task of our lives to learn how to make good choices. God our Heavenly Father's recommendation to us is, "Choose life!"

"Do you feel," a visitor to my web site asked, "that God has already chosen our mates?" I replied, "Why would God do that?" In explanation I continued, "God created man with free will. The nature of this free will is that he has the majestic ability to choose." A demonstration of this is in the Genesis story. God gave Adam the task of choosing names for the animals. Adam's ability to choose was getting educated while he was doing this. By the end, Adam realised there wasn't a mate of comparability to himself to be chosen from among them. God isn't out there making choices for you. He does, however, hope you will lean to His wisdom and discernment in making your choices. To this end, He grants you His Spirit and gives to you His Word

Thank God we have help available in making our choices! We can look first of all to God's Word where insight into outcomes is revealed. At the same time we can look to God's Spirit. God's Spirit stands alongside us with counsel and guidance. With Him is the grace and the strength to choose to walk the way of life. Look to God's Word. Heed God's Spirit.
