I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Don't you appreciate it when the author of the book you're reading sums up his information point for point in one short paragraph? Well, here God Himself does exactly that for you! In this one verse He gives you a summation of all the counsel He has been giving you all through the Bible!
What is the sum of God's counsel? First, buy gold from Him; not the gold of this world but the refined gold of His Word that, by His Spirit, gives revealed knowledge of Himself and His ways. Second, buy white garments; the garments that He presents to His saints representing the righteousness they have received from Him. Third, anoint your eyes with eye salve. This is the anointing of the Holy Spirit that will cause you to see things and know things as He sees and knows them.
