Healing your land
Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.
Isaiah 60:18 - NKJV
As I read that scripture above I get that warm feeling experienced when one meets an old and good friend. It was quite some years ago when I was first introduced to it by the Holy Spirit. It was at a time when I really needed its promise. It has been a trusted friend to me ever since. 2 Cor.1:20.
My wife and I first discovered we had spiritual walls and gates as we read that scripture. Those walls and gates are there to surround us, providing us with security. In that scripture we recognised a promise for us to enter into and a corresponding exhortation to act on. As we acted on the exhortation we began to enter into the promise it contains. If you'll do what its exhortation calls you to do then you too can enter into its promised security. What does the exhortation call you to do? It calls you to call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. You have received salvation in Jesus. Follow up on this by taking a stand in what you have received. You are in a different place since you came to Christ. He has brought you into salvation. He has surrounded you with the walls of salvation. He has given you gates called Praise.
Stand in salvation and praise the Lord! Let God's Spirit minister to you the fullness of the glad tidings of salvation. Hear Him again say, "He is able to save you to the uttermost!" Say again to your soul, "Bless the Lord O my soul. Who redeems your life from destruction!" Rejoice in Christ Jesus. Let the joy of praise flow through your gates to heal your land. Heb.7:25, Psa.103:1-3.
