Greet the new day!
Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind.
Philippians 3:13-15 - NKJV
Perhaps you could have done better. Perhaps things could have gone smoother. Perhaps people could have got behind you more. It was all yesterday though! Before you is a new day to live out, the day we call today. Today is the day for striving forwards to greater things of God in Christ; things glorious. This is how apostle Paul saw each new day.
Today is a new day! Don't enter today carrying yesterday's baggage of resentment, remorse and regret. Get alone with God and let Him take those weights out of your hands and heart and off your mind. Hand over to Him as a deposit your hurts, disappointments, frustration and unforgiveness. Allow Him to have charge over all that. Release to Him the responsibility for setting things right. Now you go on. Go on with Jesus to where you can be more of a blessing to others and to where you can yourself be blessed! Psa.84:5-7.
There are new possibilities today as there may well be new challenges also. Yesterday may have been good or it may have been bad but it's now the past. Today get into God's presence and find with Him what you need for today. Find there His strength, His grace, His favour and His wisdom. Find His refreshing and His revitalising. Find His fresh start and His glorious opportunities. At His throne of grace, as you come to Him through Jesus, He has all these things for you! Lam.3:22-23, Heb.4:16.
Leave yesterday, live today in Christ!
