Have grace!
Since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Hebrews 12:28 - NKJV
"Let us have grace," the writer to the Hebrews exhorts. Why was he so keen on us having grace? Because he had a clear vision of what it was going to do for us. He saw that by it we were going to be able to "serve God acceptably". Whenever we serve God acceptably we are serving Him in a way that pleases Him. Paul the apostle tells us, "I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God with me." This shows just how real and how relevant Paul found grace to be to his life and ministry. No wonder he calls us to join him in having grace! 1Cor.15:10.
Catch Paul's vision for what grace can do! This will have an impact on you. You'll be more diligent in your relationship with the Holy Spirit for He is the Spirit of Grace. You'll give more diligence to knowing Jesus better for He is the Bringer of Grace. You'll commit yourself more diligently to God's Word for it is the Word of His grace. You'll give more diligence to the Gospel partnerships God has given you with other believers for this causes you to be partnering in grace. You'll come more diligently into the presence of God for His grace is found at the throne of grace. Act.20:32, Phil.1:7.
Grace will help you make it! Grace brought you to salvation in Jesus. Grace will help you be the Christian you aspire to be. Each morning seek grace before the day begins. Have a time of devotions. Wait in the presence of the Lord at His throne of grace. Welcome the Holy Spirit as your Companion in your life for Christ. Eph.2:8-9, Heb.4:16.
