Life to your soul
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live.
Isaiah 55:2-3 - NKJV
The moment you accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour you received life, eternal life, the life of God! The life of God is now in you. It's there but how is anyone to know it? How, even, are you to know it? Your soul needs to get to taste of the life of God. God exhorts you, "Let your soul delight itself in (spiritual) abundance."
Let your soul delight in spiritual abundance. It is that that God is referring to when He calls to you, "Listen to Me and eat what is good." You start to become aware of God's goodness in every area of your life as you do this. Have your spiritual ears soak up God's word and experience the life of God in you. Digest His words and you'll get excited about His life in you. His words of life will infuse life into your soul. God is delighted when your spirit is made whole through the infusion into it of His life at your new birth. He wants to see you with a soul infused with His life also. Drink in what is good, that is, God's word! In this way your whole soul will find well-being. You'll come to know the grandest kind of soul health you could ever imagine! John 6:63, 1 Thes.5:23, 3 John 2.
In your heart there is gratitude at the goodness of God. This same gratitude needs to be in your soul also. It will be there as much as your soul feeds on the good things God has spoken. A soul delighting in that abundance communicates to others it's experience of the life of God. His words will make you a believer who walks like someone with good news to tell! 1Cor.15:45.
