Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10 - NKJV

What a God! The Lord comes down to you. He makes assurances to you like the one I've presented above. In that assurance spoken by the mouth of the prophet Isaiah God declares, "I am your God." He speaks this to those who are His own. He uses this to assure them of His nearness to them and ever present help with them. He speaks this to you because you are His child by the new birth. Joh.1:12-13.

Look at the life of our Lord Jesus ministering as Christ on earth and you see God with us. The angel named Jesus "Immanuel" which in translation means "God with us". Jesus came down from Heaven to live with us here on earth. He came to dwell among us. He was born as a man. Nevertheless, He was no less God. The creator and upholder of all things walked among us. This is how willing God is to be God for us right by our sides! By the prophet Isaiah we hear God assuring us, "I have brought Myself down to your side, I have drawn in all My immenseness to stand beside you. I have come to you out of infinity to stand with you in the here and now at every moment." Mat.1:23.

Rest in the Lord and enjoy the journey He accompanies you on. God is always with you in all your doings and goings. God, your God, is Absolute Deity - Lord of heaven and earth - yet here He is right with you holding your hand on earth. The psalmist expresses well how I feel about it, "I was so foolish and ignorant...Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand." Psa.73:22-23.

Awesome God, yet ever present God!
