The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 - NKJV

Faithful is our God. It's how He is. It's central to His nature. In His faithfulness towards you He wants to establish you. He wants to see you set on a firm foundation for life. Your life has many aspects to it and all of them God cares about. God's Son, Jesus, has saved you and given you the gift of eternal life, the life of God. Now in the life of God He wants you established whole, secure and strong in Christ. This is God's follow up to salvation. 1Cor.15:45.

Welcome the Holy Spirit on the scene of your life and give Him your co-operation as He establishes you. Respond to the Spirit's gentle urgings to make adjustments to your life. To get on God's firm foundation you have to move off the shaky one you're on! By the Spirit's comfort, encouragement and instruction shift from where you're at in your life at present to where you should be. In all areas of your life God wants to set you on a foundation where you cannot be shaken. Once you're on a firm foundation in God you'll stand strong even while the world is being shaken. Mat.7:24-27, Heb.12:27-28.

God's establishment is a process. It's a process you must have part in. Besides responding to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, also immerse yourself in the Word of God. Let God's Word be your counsel. Let God's promises be your assurance. God, having delivered you from sin, wants to establish you in holiness. God, having delivered you from sickness, wants to establish you in divine health. God, having delivered you from debt, wants to establish you in His supply. Psa.1:1-3.
