Worship the Lord

by Pastor Simon

Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour...For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

Luke 1:46-47,49 - KJV

Mary's soul soared in exultation when she praised God for His hand upon her life. Have you ever experienced anything like that? Such an upward flight of the soul happens when a glorious awareness comes over you of God's love and power. There's something you can do to bring on this experience. You can go into the presence of the Lord. You can join in the worship and praise in that place. You can wait expectantly to see His power and His glory.

Our Saviour Jesus has opened the way for you into the Holiest of Holies. The Holiest of Holies is the place of the presence of God. Into that magnificent place of God's glory you are called to enter in. You are called to go in by the new and living way He has consecrated for us. Andrew Murray wrote about this access to our Heavenly Father. He said, "This is the salvation which (Jesus) has accomplished, and which He lives to apply in each of us, so that we shall indeed dwell in the full light of God's countenance." What joy we know in His presence! What a cause for rejoicing we experience in the full light of God's countenance! Heb.10:19-22.

Set apart time today and every day for worship in God's presence. Be sure you have time each day in this heavenly place of worship and there in praise and worship you will behold His power and His glory. Something marvellous will happen to you in that place. You will rejoice there and your rejoicing will refresh and revitalise your being. What's more there will be reflected from you onto others something of the light of the glory of God!

In worship know God's glory!
