Clothed in glory
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.
Isaiah 61:10 - NKJV
The Lord has clothed you and robed you! You have on the garments of salvation and the robe of righteousness. Greatly rejoicing in the Lord should be your response to it. No matter what you are up against right now - be it persecution, affliction or suffering - it will never take away those garments and that robe. So rejoice in spite of it all! Resist the devil. Resist his attempt to use trials to stifle the joy you can be experiencing in your God! Luke 10:20, James 1:2-5.
Rejoicing in the Lord no matter what's happening makes an opening in your life for God to do wonderful things. When you rejoice in the Lord with both heart and soul it's like a flower opening to greet the Summer sun's light and warmth. How unfulfilled the flower looks that remains unopened! You are to God one of His flowers. Just as you delight in, cherish and are proud of a flower that you have in full bloom so God delights in, cherishes and is proud of you who rejoice in Him!
You experience the full light and warmth that the Lord shines on you when you rejoice in Him. Delight yourself in the Lord. Such rejoicing prepares you and enables you to move from one season of your life into another. You will bear an abundance of fruit in the new season. What's more, your continued rejoicing in the Lord will cause people to see that you are clothed in garments prepared by God. They will acknowledge His work among men. Phil.4:4.
God has robed you, respond with rejoicing!
